What Does Growing Rogue Mean?
Using a sustainability-first philosophy, Rogue Sol is more than a farm — it's a community project. We believe that building something real requires real people showing up, getting their hands dirty, and sharing what they know.
Seasonal volunteer days to help build greenhouse infrastructure, raised beds, fencing, bat boxes, and habitat features. No experience necessary — just bring gloves and a willingness to learn. Lunch is always provided.
We're actively restoring native plant communities along the farm's perimeter — replacing invasive juniper monoculture with bunchgrasses, native wildflowers, and riparian shrubs that support pollinators and wildlife.
Hands-on workshops covering aquaponics basics, regenerative growing methods, mushroom cultivation, solar system maintenance, and more. Open to the community — CSA members attend free.
Regular volunteers earn farm credit toward CSA boxes, u-pick access, and farm dinner seats. We believe in fair exchange — your time has real value and we want to honour it.
Working with neighbours and local land owners to establish a connected pollinator corridor across the Tumalo area — native milkweed, wildflower meadows, and hedgerows that support bees, butterflies, and migrating birds.
Working with Central Oregon schools to offer farm education visits — age-appropriate tours of the aquaponics system, greenhouse, and flower fields. We want kids to know where their food comes from.
